A new edutainment platform turning screen time into brain time through playful digital experiences for kids
Greenville, S.C. – Musical Chess, an edutainment platform designed to introduce children to chess through music, movement, and playful digital experiences, will launch both its Kickstarter campaign and children’s learning app on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Created by teaching artist and early childhood educator Adrienne Tellier, Musical Chess helps children build focus, confidence, creativity, and emotional resilience. Combined in their digital playspace, these experiences support a style of learning that empowers children to discover their true potential.
At its core, Musical Chess is built around a simple belief: children learn best when learning feels like play.
Musical Chess aims to offer families a thoughtful alternative to passive screen time by creating playful digital experiences that engage kids' minds, invite active participation, and encourage them to think, move, and explore.
“At the end of the day, most families turn to screen time as a tool,” says Adrienne Tellier, Musical Chess Founder & CEO. “Sometimes it’s something you do together on a rainy afternoon. Sometimes it’s a moment for a parent to cook dinner while their child explores something independently. As a mom myself, I created Musical Chess to be a tool families feel good about using. Something playful, creative, and genuinely enriching for children.”
