GREENVILLE, S.C. —

Students as young as 3 years old are learning to play the game of chess— but not in the way you might think.

"Musical Chess" was founded by Adrienne Tellier as a way to teach critical thinking skills through song and dance. Using her background in musical theatre, she developed the chess-focused curriculum, which she now offers in schools and private settings throughout the Upstate.
